| Quote from President Obama |
Happy MLK Day to everyone. Here in Atlanta, the city is buzzing with excitement because not only is this the day we celebrate Martin Luther King's tireless contributions to the civil rights movement at the place where it all began but we got to celebrate history by watching the first African American president get sworn in for the second time. It was such a good day today! We went to the King Center; words can't express the feelings I had reading and observing all that history. Amazing!

My hair was a stretched out twist out done with Bee Hold Curly Butter. Have a great week and see you next post!

This brought tears to my eyes for some odd, random reason. What a great man who did extraordinary things. When my boys asked if Dr. King was a 'real person', I KNEW I had to get them to the King Center. Let us NEVER forget where we came from and all the people who paved the way so that we all can have a better life.
ReplyDeleteAgreed :-) They learned a lot that day.
